Upon the invitation of the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia, Dr Jasna Omejec, a delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia, led by the President of the Constitutional Court, Mr Jože Tratnik, paid an official two-day visit to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia on 5 and 6 June 2009.
Ever since the independence of Slovenia and Croatia, the judges of both constitutional courts have been meeting regularly, considering issues of constitutional justice. This time the judges met at the Plitvice Lakes where, in a lively discussion, they exchanged their views and experiences regarding certain issues of constitutional review. They devoted special attention to constitutional and supreme courts’ respective powers of constitutional review.
