Working Meeting of the Judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia with the Slovene Members of the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union

Upon the invitation of the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Ernest Petrič, Judge of the European Court of Human Rights, Dr Boštjan M. Zupančič, Judge of the Court of Justice of the European Union, Dr Marko Ilešič, Advocate General at the Court of Justice of the European Union, Dr Verica Trstenjak, and Judge of the General Court of the European Union, Mr Miro Prek, arrived in Slovenia on Friday, 7 September 2012.


At the working meeting, the issues of protection of human rights on the basis of the Constitution, the European Convention on Human Rights, and the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, developments in the case-law of individual courts and the issue of the right to a trial without undue delay were addressed. They also exchanged the experience in the field of judicial review.
