Official Visit of a Delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Austria

Upon the invitation of the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Austria, DDr Christoph Grabenwarter, a delegation from the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia, headed by President Dr Matej Accetto, arrived on an official visit to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Austria. The delegation also included Vice President Dr Rok Čeferin, Judges Dr Dr Klemen Jaklič (Oxford UK, Harvard USA), Dr Rajko Knez, Dr Špelca Mežnar, Dr Marijan Pavčnik and Dr Katja Šugman Stubbs, and Secretary General Dr Sebastian Nerad.

The visit entails the continuation and strengthening of the excellent cooperation between the Slovene and Austrian Constitutional Courts and the opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss most important topical issues. The central topics of discussion of the visit were the review of the measures adopted to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and the importance of constitutional justice for the rule of law.
