Upon the invitation of Prof. Koen Lenaerts, President of the Court of Justice of the European Union, a delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia led by its President Dr Matej Accetto visited the Court in Luxembourg. The delegation was also composed of Judges Dr Špelca Mežnar, Dr Rajko Knez, Marko Šorli, Dr Marijan Pavčnik, and Dr Rok Svetlič, as well as Dr Sebastian Nerad, Secretary General.
Within the framework of the two-day official visit (19 and 20 September), the Judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia met with Prof. Koen Lenaerts, President of the Court of Justice, as well as Slovene and other members of the Court of Justice and the General Court. During the working visit, they discussed, inter alia, the relationship between the Court of Justice of the European Union and courts of Member States, as well as the ex officio application of EU law and the burden of allegation of parties regarding EU law in proceedings before national courts.
